To think something through – pensar melhor/bem/direito
To think something through means think something carefully before making an important decision.
We can’t afford a mistake, so think things through and make sure you have everything ready.* (Não podemos cometer erros, então pense bem e se certifique que esteja tudo pronto)

You don’t necessarily need to use an object in Portuguese in this case. Sometimes it’s implicit.
